Customers
or patients in the QTag system carry a small identification
card tag that continuously communicates with in-house base stations.
Location information of customers is thus available in real-time
at any Internet accessible computer, provided one has authorization
to log into the QTag system. The card tags may also be paged
from the system, with a short message displayed on an LCD panel
embedded in the card tag. By allowing staff to monitor the location
of customers and page them when necessary, QTag offers a way
to optimise the efficiency of customer flow in the premises
of the establishment. |
